Dr. Erik Goluboff, Doctor-in-Charge of Urologic Oncology at Beth Israel Medical Center in New York City, has received widespread regard for his teaching, research, and patient care. He recently earned the Teacher of the Year award from Beth Israel's Department of Urology, in which he serves as an attending physician, and he appears on the 2012 roll of America's Top Surgeons, a list compiled by the Consumers' Research Council of America.
Making use of his notable academic foundation, Dr. Erik Goluboff has earned numerous research awards as well. Twice named a Pfizer Scholar in Urology, he's also earned a First Prize including an Honorable Mention in the yearly Valentine Essay Competition of New York Academy of Medicine. He's received the American Society of Clinical Oncology's Young Investigator Award along with the Columbia-Presbyterian Housestaff Mini-Grant Award.
Board-certified by the American Board of Urology and licensed by New York State, Erik Goluboff, M.D., has pursued extensive training in his field. At Columbia-Presbyterian Medical Center in New York City, he completed sequential residencies in surgery and urology. Following his final year of urologic residency, during which he directed his peers as Chief Resident, Dr. Erik Goluboff completed a prestigious fellowship in urologic oncology.
Before joining Columbia-Presbyterian Medical Center, Dr. Erik Goluboff completed a surgical internship at the nationally famous Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland. He had previously received his M.D. from Johns Hopkins University's School of Medicine, prior to which he earned his Bachelor's degree at Columbia University. He joined the faculty of Columbia during his fellowship year when he accepted the job of Assistant Professor. He soon progressed to Associate Professor and later to full Professor. After nearly 15 years on Columbia University's faculty, he became Professor of Clinical Urology at Albert Einstein College of Medicine, a position he fills in addition to his duties at Beth Israel Medical Center.
