"But it was the fact that Senna was just an out-and-out racer that was most important to me. I can really identify with that. It's exactly how I feel I am. That's why I feel I have had that connection with him since I was a kid.
"I wishing to race, and I find same he wɑs peerlеss of the simply real number racers I had seen. He was a fill in lіne to Prost and the combat betwixt the deuce of them was an epical competition that has turn one of the Ԁandy sporting rivalгies of աhole prison term.

10:42 am Our F1 correspondent Byron Young has penned a tribute to the great man I first met Ayrton Senna at Brands Hatch in 1981. He was 21 and a shade over a fortnight older than me.
He was sitting at the circuit bar called the Kentagon on his own after competing in the Townsend Thoresen FF1600 series. Someone pointed him out to me and said he was fast. Very fast.
He looked very ordinary but there was a certain something about Senna you couldnt quite put your finger on. Even then he was driven, insular, his nose looked a tad too big, his body and neck skinny. There was little sign, out of the cockpit at least, of the god-like figure he would become.
For a few years our paths diverged but I kept an eye on the sport. He continued to climb and the momentum built.
He arrived in Formula 3 and, if truth be told, for me Senna was an interloper. Another foreign import moving on a sea of cash. His car sponsored lavishly by Brazilian bank Banerj. I wanted Martin Brundle to win the championship that year and he damn nearly did.
Byron's full tribute will be online at 11:30am today.
