Dr. Erik Goluboff, Physician-in-Charge of Urologic Oncology at Beth Israel Medical Center in New York City, has received prevalent regard for his teaching, research, and patient care. He recently earned the Teacher of the Year award from Beth Israel's Department of Urology, in which he serves as an attending physician, and he appears on the 2012 roster of America's Top Surgeons, a list compiled by the Consumers' Research Council of America.
Getting the most of his impressive academic background, Dr. Erik Goluboff has earned numerous research awards as well. Named a Pfizer Scholar in Urology, he's also earned a First Prize together with an Honorable Mention in the yearly Valentine Essay Competition of New York Academy of Medicine. He has received the American Society of Clinical Oncology's Young Investigator Award in addition to the Columbia-Presbyterian Housestaff Mini-Grant Prize.
Board-certified by the American Board of Urology and licensed by New York State, Erik Goluboff, M.D., has pursued wide-ranging training in his area. At Columbia-Presbyterian Medical Center in New York, he finished sequential residencies in surgery and urology. Following his final year of urologic residency, during which he led his peers as Chief Resident, Dr. Erik Goluboff completed a prestigious fellowship in urologic oncology.
Before joining Columbia-Presbyterian Medical Center, Dr. Erik Goluboff finished a surgical internship at the nationally renowned Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland. He joined Columbia's faculty during his fellowship year when he accepted the job of Assistant Professor. He soon advanced to Associate Professor and afterwards to full Professor. After almost 15 years on Columbia University's faculty, he became Professor of Clinical Urology at Albert Einstein College of Medicine, a place he fills in addition to his duties at Beth Israel Medical Center.
