Day 2: HO CHI MINH CITY TOUR + CU CHI TUNNELS
Morning: A half-day city tour of dynamic Ho Chi Minh City , still called Saigon by many locals, includes the Notre Dame Cathedral, Old Sai Gon Post Office, the Chinatown, the former Presidential Palace . 5 to 1m wide, just enough for a person to crawl along. Day 5: VIETNAM NORTHERN TREKKING TOUR: Van - Sam Khoe - Poong Com (B/L/D)
The verdant and rugged mountain scenery combined with the colorful local population alllow for an unforgettable adventure. The perfect way to celebrate your achievement in completing the trek can be a traditional music show followed while using local rice wine. The trekking expedition ends once arriving at the small village of Khoe. A part from the pleasure of our own adventure is the simple joy of seeing the scenic mountain scenery along with the varied customs of people. Today we continue our trek over the local footpath past many different hilltribe villages and terraced rice fields. We catch a quick drive returning to Pong Coom village and also have time to stroll around , enabling us to understand a little more about the lifestyle of villagers. O/N at Pong Coom village. This performance is held with the young White Thai minorities, reflecting the rich culture of this ethnic group.
Day 10: VIETNAM NORTHERN TREKKING TOUR: Cat Ba - Hai Phong - Hanoi (B/-/-)
The interesting national park makes Cat Ba a highlight in Vietnam tourist map. Once arriving in Ha Phong we meet up with the waiting vehicle and drive back on the capital city. We regroup at our hotel at the begining of afternoon and travel by ferry to Hai Phong, the biggest port capital of scotland - northern Vietnam. Today there is a half free day to explore Cat Ba Island all on your own. The ideal way to pay your last evening in Vietnam is often a dinner at one of the town famous eating spots. These optional activities are certainly not included; however our guide is accessible to help you with invaluable information. There are various options to pick from, a few of which are biking, kayaking or exploring the national park.
The capital of Vietnam, Hanoi is a stylish and gracious city that retains an unique old world charm and a few Asia's most striking colonial architecture. The many lakes and parks create relaxing atmosphere. Upon leaving the village of previous night we blaze a trail with our local guide and walk through tropical rainforest to Cun Pheo. The accommodation is very simple and dormitory style, no western facilities though the experience is definitely unique. The trekking is actually difficult at times, by incorporating steep uphill and downhill walking; however, some physical preparation enables you to fully appreciate the walk.
