From our stop we climb towards Mai Chau valley, about another two hours away, stopping on the way to take inside the spectacular scenery. Whilst enjoying their hospitality, we will discover a somewhat more about their lives and culture. Our hosts just for this evening could be the H’mong minority people. Tonight’s accommodation could oftimes be a a bit more rustic than selecting used to. Following lunch in Mai Chau town we drive for the White Thai village of Sa Linh from which we commence a 3-hour trek for the village of Hang Kia. Trekking to Hang Kia Village After breakfast at hotel we heading west to Hoa Binh Province where we stop for refreshments.

Close to this complex may be the One Pillar Pagoda, whose origins go back to the foundation of Hanoi. We follow this which has a visit towards the Temple of Literature, recognized as Vietnam's first university, along with the History Museum which displays a fantastic collection of artifacts illustrating the Vietnamese history. En route we make stopover at Dong Trieu pottery village to stretch our legs and admire the craftsmen at work. Day 2:HANOI - HALONG CRUISING TRIP (B/-/-)
Today we commence our sightseeing of Hanoi using the Ho Chi Minh Complex, containing the mausoleum in the nation's founder Ho Chi Minh, the Presidential Palace and the Ho Chi Minh's house on stilts. The peaceful lake of Hoan Kiem using its sacred temple and the bustling Dong Xuan Market can also be visited before we depart for Halong Bay beyond the scenic countryside.

We will arrive back in Hanoi by approximately 13: 00. Departing the village at around 08: 00. We retrace our steps back to the boat for the cruise to meet with our waiting vehicle as well as the trip back to Hanoi. Rest from the day is free of charge.

The trek will take you through some unforgettable scenery and still provide us with an opportunity to closely observe rural life in Vietnam. Our hosts just for this evening will treat us to some fine meal and stories of life in Van village. They will also share their residence brewed rice wine and toast our health and happiness. A picnic lunch will probably be provided over the way. Arriving in Van village by mid to late afternoon there will likely be time to require a stroll down to the nearby stream.
