I'm a big fan of rock 'n' roll bedroom décor and would have loved to have had it as a theme for my bedroom when I was younger. Hopefully instead I can help out some of you! The bed is the first thing your eyes are drawn to when you enter the room, so picking the right piece of bedding is one of the most important steps. Luckily, there is a lot of choice for this theme.

There are plenty more out there, however. Good places to look offline include local craft shops and charity stores - you can find some seriously vintage fabric in charity stores.

If you are going the whole hog and painting your room, be sure to go bold - hit it with reds, whites, deep blues. If it pops, it's look great. Avoid black, though, even if your are tempted. Black walls can make your room look depressingly small and cramped. Go for a medium gray instead, it will look much better.

With the walls painted, you will need to fill in those blank spaces. Next up, you'll need some rock and roll or guitar themed furniture to set up in your bedroom, and luckily there's plenty available for you to choose from.

If you aren't buying specially themed furniture, I recommend sticking to lots of black or white wood furniture, or for very modern looks, metal frames and drawers. A lot of the time it is much cheaper to just repaint your existing furniture than buy a whole load of new stuff, so be sure to check out the tutorial on furniture painting above if that sounds like your kind of thing.

If you are looking for some rockin' décor to light up your room, there is a wide range of guitar and rock ‘n' roll themed table and desk lamps for you to choose from. They range from cool prints to actual lamps shaped like guitars. There's also a great variety of colors, so you can find lighting for any bedroom! Check them out and pick your favorites.

The sky is the limit when it comes to accessory ideas, so I'll just give a few of my personal favorite ideas. If you need a place to hang your coat or dressing gown, for example, make sure you do it in style with one of the awesome coat hook plaques above! Each is hand made, and you can request particular designs and styles, so you can make a really one of a kind piece with this.

Source There is a whole industry around recycling old records into accessories for the bedroom, especially little storage pots to keep the pens and other knick-knacks on your desk in order. You can actually made these yourself quite easily (see the video tutorial below), but if you don't have the time, collect them from the net!
