Whilst enjoying their hospitality, we will discover a a bit more about their lives and culture. Our hosts just for this evening will be the H’mong minority people. Following lunch in Mai Chau town we drive for the White Thai village of Sa Linh from which we commence a 3-hour trek to the village of Hang Kia. After breakfast at hotel we heading west to Hoa Binh Province where we stop for refreshments. Tonight’s accommodation could oftimes be a little more rustic than you would be used to. Trekking to Hang Kia Village From our stop we climb for the Mai Chau valley, about another two hours away, stopping on the way to take within the spectacular scenery.

Tet rites begin a week before New Year’s Day, and the first three days of the New Year are official holidays, but the event visitors will really want to experience is New Year’s Eve.

Heading away we drive towards Hue, which has been once the feudal capital of Vietnam from 1802 to 1945. The winding road begins even as we make our way up the spectacular Hai Van pass.
