Ha Long Bay can be a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and a popular travel destination, located in Quang Ninh Province, Vietnam. The Bay comes with a area of around 1,553 km2, including 1,960 islets, most of which are limestone. A huge bay, dotted with nearly 2,000 mostly uninhabited limestone cliffs, the breathtaking surroundings are very similar to that in the Andaman coast of Thailand, Vang Vieng in Laos and Guilin in China. The evolution from the karsts with this bay has brought 20 million years within the impact in the tropical wet climate. It's not the cliffs themselves that will make Ha Long Bay unique, but rather their sheer number. The limestone in this bay moved through 500 million numerous years of formation in various conditions and environments. The core from the bay has an area of 334 km2 with a high density of 775 islets.
