Upon leaving Can Tho we tripped on a brief drive to Vinh Long and board a ship for an exciting excursion throughout the tributaries of the mighty Mekong River. Here, 40km southwest of Hoi An, in a lush green valley, are dozens of red brick towers and sanctuaries dating from between the seventh and thirteenth centuries. Day 13: HALONG CRUISING TOURS - HANOI
The legendary Halong Bay is truly one of Vietnam's most impressive scenic sights. Along the way we are going to anchor for the leisurely swim in the secluded cove plus an enjoyable holiday to one of the many hidden grottoes beneath towering cliffs. We round off our excursion using a seafood lunch served aboard and travel by roads returning to Ha Noi, arriving in time for it to see an evening performance of Hanoi's famous water da nang city tours puppets.
