Ha Long Bay is often a UNESCO World Heritage Site, plus a popular travel destination, situated in Quang Ninh Province, Vietnam. The evolution in the karsts in this bay has gotten 20 million years under the impact in the tropical wet climate. The Bay has an area of around 1,553 km2, including 1,960 islets, many of which are limestone. A huge bay, dotted with nearly 2,000 mostly uninhabited limestone cliffs, the breathtaking surroundings are very similar to that in the Andaman coast of Thailand, Vang Vieng in Laos and Guilin in China. The core in the bay has an area of 334 km2 which has a high density of 775 islets. The limestone on this bay went through 500 million years of formation in various conditions and environments. It's not the cliffs themselves that produce Ha Long Bay unique, but alternatively their sheer number.
You may overnight on Cat Ba Island
