Ha Long Bay is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, plus a popular travel destination, located in Quang Ninh Province, Vietnam. The evolution from the karsts on this bay has had 20 million years under the impact of the tropical wet climate. The limestone with this bay went through 500 million numerous years of formation in different conditions and environments. The core of the bay posseses an area of 334 km2 having a high density of 775 islets. It's not the cliffs themselves that produce Ha Long Bay unique, but instead their sheer number. The Bay comes with an area of around 1,553 km2, including 1,960 islets, most of which are limestone. A huge bay, dotted with nearly 2,000 mostly uninhabited limestone cliffs, the breathtaking landscape is very similar to that in the Andaman coast of Thailand, Vang Vieng in Laos and Guilin in China.
